Gmail account login is essential to use any Google products like Gmail, Google Plus, Google Drive, YouTube and more. If you have yet to become a free member of Gmail email service, then create Gmail account first.

Gmail account login steps
- Navigate www.gmail.com in your web-browser.
You’ll automatically be directed to Gmail login page. You need to sign in to continue to Gmail account.
- Click ‘Sign in’ link as shown below.
Sometimes, anything next to this picture may also appear as a landing page, and you will be shown to Gmail sign in page directly.
- Enter your Gmail email username. And click ‘Next’.
Click ‘Sign in with a different account’ if username box if filled already and you want to log in next Gmail account. Remember that you can’t omit @gmail.com portion.
- Enter Gmail login password in the password box as shown below.
Check password as you type and correct by clicking eye icon next to your password box. Remember that passwords are case sensitive, check your CapsLock key in your keyboard. You need to enter as you create a password when you Create Gmail account earlier.
- Check ‘Stay signed in’.
Checking this features saves your Gmail login passwords and username for further Gmail login attempts. But we suggest not to check the box if you sign into Gmail using any public devices.
- Click ‘Sign in’ as shown below.
By clicking sign in link, you’ll be directed to Gmail email inbox page. Start composing a new email by tapping ‘Compose’ link. Gmail contacts, tasks, and inbox can be assessed using this Gmail email inbox page.
Gmail account login with 2-step Verification
If you lose access to your Gmail account, you could be locked out of your account. Enabling 2-step verification system helps on keeping bad guys out of your Gmail account, even if they have access to your Gmail login password.
Steps to sign in with 2-step Verification
- Go to Gmail sign-in page and enter your Gmail username and password as usual.
- Enter the 6-digit code you received on your phone number.
If you’ve chosen call option when you turn on 2-step Verification, then you’ll get a call from Google team. Answer the call and note the verification code you hear.
- Trust this computer.
By ticking ‘Don’t ask again on this computer’, you won’t be asked to enter a verification code again when you sign in Gmail account using this computer or device. But you need to enter verification code if you sign in Gmail from another computer.
Remember that after enabling 2-step Verification, other non-browser applications and device that were using your Google account will be unable to access your account. You need to re-login into your Gmail account to connect to your account.
Don't forget to Gmail Sign Out after completing your task.
